About

I retired from racing triathlon professionally at the end of 2015. I loved racing, and had some amazing adventures with wonderful people along the way. After 6 years racing pro, I got everything I wanted, and more, out of the experience and was ready to move on. My personal interests and career goals had been largely on hold while I was racing, so I promised myself that I would take a couple of years off from competitive athletic events.

With lots of huge changes in my life since leaving triathlon, training and outdoor activities have become a much needed source of balance. I really missed blogging and getting excited about simple athletic goals, so I decided to resurrect this blog as a space to document my adventures. Writing has always been a positive outlet for me, and a way to process things that I am going through. I plan to drop in from time to time and post some race reports, some photos, and anecdotes from adventures in the great outdoors that always rejuvenate my spirits.

     Thanks for dropping by!
